thats just one medium in a world of so many. being able to draw accurately is fine, but understanding form and 3 dimension and having the vision to manipulate and reporduce your ideas is just as valuable.

nope the beading came white. this whole f*ckin helemt was sticker and it took me like 12 hours to prep for paint. i will never, ever, paint a helmet thats covered in a thick sublimated graphic or sticker again. i'd give up painting first.

the "63" is no division i know of. but i do remember those cars. reminds me of the blues bros. but now that i think of it, those cops had a stupid mascot car back then called blinky, the talking police car. it scared the shiite outta me back then. go google it. it'll rattle your memory boxes for real.

smart. i was wondering about the krowns. on a coincidental note i finished painting a motorhead skateboard this weekend. it was just kind of a goof around thing, and i needed a point of emphasis, so what better then motorizing it. i'll post a pic another day.

nah i aven't read that before but i picked up this "symbols of canada" book from work a few weeks back and it kinda told the same history. i've always liked the old circa 60's flag more then our contemporary flag as it reflects on the history of our founders so much more. and its coat of arms aestheic and overall composition just seems...cooler. nice find though. cheers

holy shit dude. first of all, lemmy looks good for all the abyuse he puts himslef through. secondly, behind lemmy looks like the old flag of canada, which i am currently resolving- composition wise- as a painting/ air brushing for the back of my truck. this could be a sign from the metal gods

bernini is mos def a great sculptor. sculpture was my major in art school, but it was mainly metalwork. i, like most artists-whether they admit it or not- love the ren/baroque era. nice catch on the circles, it was initially a big triad that had the pieta in the middle. its background was a very subtle ghetto blaster and the rings were speakers. funny this drawing is about 15-18 years old, and i haven't really thought about it much since. i don't even remember what the project was. huh, booze frys the brain.

oh thanks shondo, i never thought about that, but really the painting itself began as a very loose(read boozy) sketch that seemed like a good idea. i don't like "painting proper" as a medium, but this was fun. which is prolly the reason it turned out well. glad ya dig it.

uh i think around 18x48 inches.?. the drawings below are big, they are sketches of michaelangelo's dying and rebelling slave. old work, but reasonably well drawn.

i couldn't possibly dislike the paint scheme on this bike any more then i already do. hitler could be riding it and throwing babies into trees from a basket on the front and i couldn't hate it more. i would rather gouge out my eyes with a spoon and eat them then have to look at this bike.

yeah dude, i love the bike. but i don't think many people really experience the full potential of the bike. i know i haven't, because i've never rung it full out. its impossible to on actual roads. but its fun.
