I'm reading a Rolling Stone biography of his later years, up to the morning he offed himself.
The book is hundreds of small anecdotes and stories by friends, girlfriends, kids, ex-wives, publishers, co-defendants.
Pretty good.

Hey Obee!
My dad bought a bike in Vancouver a little while back so we had to make a trip out to pick it up. I had a five day weekend from school (9th to 13th) so it worked out great. Rode Seymour and Fromme on Friday, Sunday and Monday and went up to Whistler for Saturday. It was an amazing trip - ended up covering around 40,000 vertical feet on the bikes!

I have taught at Ernest Manning before for Cathy Kelba. Might know your wife if I saw her but the name doesn't ring a bell. You should bring me out to Strathcona to teach for you guys. Taught there once years ago for Glenn Zederayko and the outdoor ed program

Eglinton Stn. Shit, At various times in the 80's, I got drunk, arrested, beaten on, blown in the women's can and once I bought a case of American brewed Miller lite (during the beer strike) on the southbound platform....all at Eglinton Stn.

shit you're a busy dude. i'm down whenever you want to get something going on ROS. Give me a shout when you've got time. Have a blast in Whistler, i'm looking to get out that way later in the summer. For now i'm hitting up the local goods and getting out to Panorama a fair bit. Got a corporate pass to the hill so makes for a sweet cheap lift accessed trip.

Thanks! Yeah sorry won't make Fernie, already have plans with the family. But fer sure some riding in the near future is definitely in the plans. I was game to ride today, but Cam was still in "finished Grade 8 just starting summer vacation" mode. He just wasn't into it today.

I'm in SS on the 20,21,22,23 of July. That is if I can ride yet, Truth be told, I'm not healing well from my stacker at COP in May and I'm in f*cking pain 24-7. Old wounds re-opened dude. I'll go ride the pavement trails sittng if I have to!! hahaha.
I am looking at making down your way early August, Late august and whenever....
but really, sometime in August is likely.
I set up a heavy bag in the yard today. I am fat and gassing...too much sit, not enough ride. Talk to you soon.

That's why I did it initially, before it got out of hand. Notice I didn't pull rank towards the end of it, I steered it back on course without banning. You missed a lot behind the scenes. I'm not going to get into the PM with you, as it'll be biased, which would give him an unfair wrap. I assure you, everything I said was warranted.

For the sake of not continuing the topic in the thread, the "Time out" way of putting it seems to evoke the least amount of reaction. That's what I've personally noticed, so it's what I stick with.

Ah, cool. I have been affiliated with private schools since nursery so I am pretty familiar with the politics and the attitudes of people who don’t attend such schools. It’s a common misconception of many people to exaggerate the attitudes and beliefs of the students who attend such institutions when they don’t necessarily go there. My first “public school” experience was university.
